Care Instructions

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can burn the leaves, so filter it or place the plant near an east-facing window.
• Water: Water once the potting mix is almost dry. Usually, every 7-10 days is sufficient. Water thoroughly but ensure excess water drains to prevent root rot.
• Humidity: Requires moderate to high humidity. Maintain 50-70% humidity by misting regularly, using a humidifier, or placing a tray of water and pebbles under the pot.
• Temperature: Ideal temperatures range from 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). Avoid exposure to temperatures below 60°F (15°C) and protect from drafts.
• Soil: Use a well-draining orchid potting mix made primarily of bark or sphagnum moss. The pot must have drainage holes.
• Fertilizer: Fertilize every 2-4 weeks during active growth (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted orchid fertilizer. Reduce feeding frequency during the fall and winter.
• Pruning: Trim spent flower stems about an inch above the node to encourage new blooms. Remove yellowing leaves or dead roots as needed.
• Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years, preferably after the blooming season. Use fresh orchid potting mix and a slightly larger pot.
